Flash Azer wasn't always an HTML based site. It has gone through several changes to reach this point. Below is a brief history of how Flash Azer came about, and where it is going in the future.

Fall 2022 - Humble Beginnings
In 2022, I had migrated from FlipaClip to Macromedia Flash due to the fact FlipaClip was a very limited mobile-based animation app. I was tutored by Joey from Fall 2022 to Winter 2022. Through out this 3 month period, I made many low-effort testing shorts. I felt the need to mention this because it was first ever collaboration with Joey which kind of foreshadowed Flash Azer's main goal; teamwork.

May 2023 - Early Concepts
When I became better and better at Flash, I decided to start a website to share these cartoons with the public. I had one issue; I am not a good artist, I am an animator. So I gave Joey a call and I offered to partner with him to make a site and he accepted. We had gone through many name choices but we couldn't choose one we both liked. Eventually, Joey came up with the name Flash Azer which I thought was dumb but a good fit so we went with it. In the following days, we decided to look for free webhosters which was pretty difficult to find but 2 weeks later, we found a free webhoster run by Google called Google Sites.

June 2023 - Starting our Website
At the very start of June, we created Flash Azer and initiated the Alpha stage. We posted our first news which was us announcing its creation. We had also created cheap profiles for the both of us that weren't actual profiles due to Google Sites' limitations (Yes, at that time, we didn't know that Google Sites could support HTML).

July 2023 - Near End Experience
By late June, we had a cartoons section, an about us section, an official e-mail, art galleries and a guestbook but at the very start of early July I had wiped everything off the site after a very poor attempt at an entire site overhaul. After that I discussed with Joey if we should continue working on Flash Azer and after a bit of talking we decided to completely change the site and also initiate the Beta stage.

August-September 2023 - Radio Silence
These 2 months were the driest months that Flash Azer has ever seen. In early August, we had incorporated a community chat to Flash Azer and finally found out about HTML being available on Google Sites. By that time, we were thinking of ending it with Google Sites and switching to what we use now; Neocities. I had used Neocities before but I didn't think it was suitable for Flash Azer.

October 2023 - New Beginnings
We come to now, where Flashazer is better than it ever was and will ever be, the Google Sites version has been discontinued entirely and we have moved to Neocities. As of October 2023, expect new features aswell as more updates. Thank you for reading. You may go back .
